How Do I Get My Soil Ready To Plant Flowers?

I'm planting a small garden that has been used before, but the soil has some weeds in it and the soil is old. What are the steps that I should take?

    You need to work the soil, and get the weeds out. I do that by using a shovel, and turning the soil, after it gets loosened, then I pull the weeds out.
    I add new soil, and manuer and work that into the soil that's already there, keep working it until it's mixed. Or you can rent a roto-tiller, and loosen the soil then add the other soil and manuer, and roto-till again.
    Get your plants ready to be transplanted, and get the rows ready for the plants. Plant the veggies, or flowers, then give them some vitamins and minerals, like Miracle grow, and water thoroughly.
    You are going to want to keep them watered about every other day, and weed about once a week. Hope this helps, happy gardening.
