She might be having varicose veins. Heart pumps blood through arteries to different parts of body and veins carry blood back to heart. These veins have a valve which stop backward flow of blood. When these valves become weak, the blood can not go to heart and stay in the peripheries like legs, calves, vagina and anus. Causes can be long standing conditions, pregnancy and exposure to sun. It can also be inherited.
