Call a few of your local vets to compare their services/prices....and believe me, there is a BIG difference in what vets charge. If you have a friend who could recommend a vet - that would work too.
Basically you will be paying for the vets doctors office fee(the cost to have your new addition checked out or health evaluated). The vet will alert you if there are any illnesses that need treatment(if any found) and the necessary meds to get your new animal well.
Hopefully everything checks out fine. For more information and
any other questions you may have ;call the local veternarians in your local area. Most veternarian offices or animal clinic's charge a fee of(range) $31.- or more(some might charge less). When I took my animal to the vet for the first time i was charged $31.99 plus tax.
These figures are based on vets located in the U.S. Good luck! By:Consumer who has a healthy and happy pet.
