Should My Nails Be Longer In Order To Play Classical Guitar?

Well if it sounds better when they are long then keep them long

I think you should keep your nails long. But, also, if you want to keep your nails shorter, try using a pick. When i play my guitar i use a pick, but i understand that not many people are comfortable using one. I would like to use my nails, but i have to keep them short for karate and piano. Using your nails gives you more feel of the guitar, making it easier to play.

When I played acoustic guitar a million years ago I always kept my nails short. But I also played piano and had to have them short so they wouldn't click on the keys. So I always used a pick. But if it sounds better when your nails are longer, than by all means, grow them back out.

I think it depends on the sound you prefer because  if you play with your nails then it sounds harder and if you lay with your finger then it sounds softer!!! :]

It depends on what is comfortable to you. You don't need to follow the rules in music! That's how styles are created.

I find it easier to have them short otherwise they can get in the way when you hold down notes =S
you only need to cut then down so they are not over the tip of the flesh bit of your finger because then it cant stop you from holding down notes xD
