Probably a pale warm light tan/yellowish color - ecru with a little (very little) yellow and tan. The pale color will keep the room light, and the warmth will go well with the (I assume ) dark couch.

I agree with the other poster on the earthtone pallet but I think you could also go with a deep red wall with a brown/black sofa. Red lends a very rich quality to a room.

I agree it would be very rich looking, but I would be afraid of everything being in dark tones would make the room very dark. If you have lots of light in the room (large windows, etc.) red would be great..
