How Do I Create A Spa-like Room?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Spa-like rooms are mostly commonly suited for bathroom spaces. The best way of achieving a spa-like effect is to adjust lighting by adding a dimmer switch, which can be lowered according to mood, and will convert the standard functionality of a room into a more relaxed and flexible atmosphere. Non-traditional lighting fixtures, such as curved globes and frosted glass windows, will also make light softer and more flattering for the owner. Allowing natural light into the room using translucent glass, either within a door or a window, will also maximize the amount of light. Additionally, warm-toned whites and cream colours will reflect light and create a greater sense of spaciousness. Converting the shower into a more European design, such as one with a handheld attachment or a rain shower, wherein an overhead faucet is fixed to the ceiling rather than the wall, will also mirror spas and add to the atmosphere.
