A flywheel is defined as a heavy rotating disk. It is used a device for the storage of kinetic energy. Flywheels can also be used to produce very high pulses of power which are needed for conducting some experiments. A flywheel drive is also commonly used to make low-cost toys. A momentum wheel is also defined as a type of flywheel. It is used in satellite pointing operations. The instruments of the satellites are in the correct directions without the use of thrusters.

A heavy flywheel is not able to withstand the gusts that propel the amplifiers up to a considerable extent for a short while. It consumes a lot of energy and need to be coupled indirectly with a lightweight flywheel. A light flywheel, on the other hand, is much faster and works well even if the speed of the wind is low. It does not burn up a lot of energy.
