My Dog Is Losing The Hair From His Bottom Lip—along With The “black” Skin. What Can I Give Him?
He doesn’t itch but it’s getting bigger. I can’t afford to take him to a vet, is there anything I can give him to treat it or will it go away on its own.

In scientific language, the loss of hair is named as "alopecia". First you have to observe the hair loss site pores. If the hair follicles (the black roots) of hair are there, this means the lost hair will be placed with the passage of time. But if unfortunately, the hair follicles are absent, and then this might be a permanent loss.
The blackening of the skin with absence if itching indicates absence of bacterial or fungal infection. First to have an idea, observe by pressing with thumb the blackened area, is the dog become restless, or in other words feeling any pain. If so, then it will be the physical trauma. If not, then might be some physical or chemical reaction.
Treatment:
1. Give some local and/ or parenteral use of anti-allergic preparation better with some antibiotic. I.e. Dexamethasone with neomycin ointment, betamethasone diopropionate with gentamicin sulphate ointment or cream.
2. Some source of vitamins particularly A and B complex.
