When Was One Considered To Have Come The Age In 1960's?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

This is an interesting question - I have always understood this to have changed from 21 to 18 in the 60's when the age of consent was lowered to 18

I usually ask a riddle to my friends

'My brother and I became of age on the same day and we are not twins, how is this so?'

After much confusion, and wrong conclusions, I say that we became of age on the same day because we were both between the ages of 18 and 21 on the date that the 'coming of age' age was amended. As a result of this, I celebrated neither.
