What Are Some Well Known Places In Michigan?

For starters, there's Lansing, the capitol of Michigan. Awesome city... Lots to do there. And we ALL are familiar with Detroit. In the Detroit area is a place called Greenfield Village... Its a  collection of Michigan related history. Lots of important historic buildings. On Lake Michigan there's Ludington. Awesome fishing there, and a really cool lighthouse. Traverse city is another really beautiful place. Its actually flanked on both sides with a bay. Moving north to the top of the Lower Peninsula is The Straits of Mackinac,Mackinaw City, the Mackinac Bridge, and Mackinac Island. This is one of my favorite places in Michigan. Mackinac Island is the most wonderful place in the united states and has the only interstate that has NEVER had a car accident. Of course the island has NO cars except for police, ambulance and firetrucks. In the Upper Peninsula is Whitefish bay, Where the Edmund Fitzgerald sank, Paradise Michigan, Tahquamenon falls, Pictured Rock Lakeshore on Lake Superior in Munising, Sault Ste. Marie, Marquette, Houghton/Hancock, Escanaba, Iron Mountain, and Copper Harbor. All beautiful picturesque places and well worth the visit.
