Would You Vote For A Third Party Candidate?

Such as Rn Paul, etc. Even though you know that candidate does not stand a chance to win, would you vote for him because he shares your values more than the main party candidates?

I would vote for the most qualified, if it wouldn't result in a "wasted vote".  America is set up for a two party election.  At this point, the best thing we can do is to vote for the candidate who best represents  our convictions.  No one else would have a chance.  So if you vote for a third party, in essence, you are actually voting FOR the candidate you least want elected.
I, personally,  am voting for the party that will best protect the unborn child.

What I wish WOULD happen, is  that candidates  should have to "qualify" to run for political office.
I would like to see classes offered, to be sure a candidate has  a well rounded education.   These classes would be available to ALL.
As it stands today, only the wealthy are able to run, not necessarily the "best qualified".  And then I believe that each candidate should have to fill out a questionnaire, to show America where they stand on the "issues" BEFORE they begin their campaign.  This would eliminate the problem with candidates switching back and forth on the issues.  And the American public only picking a candidate based on what they can GET from him or her.

And  this just might help clear up the problem we have with the media's biased reporting.  They are tired of REPORTING the news.  They are now trying to MAKE the news.
    But then...I WANT a "perfect" world :-)

I agree, and I realize a vote for a third party, is a vote for your least wanted candidate. I was just curious, as I really do not think either candidate is all that whoopie. I too vote pro life, and pro traditional marriage.

The values of any of these candidates are so vague that I would vote for a striped zebra before I would vote for these Elephants or Donkeys. All they are doing is trying to gain the presidency ,there are no issues anymore ,its just he said she said!I do not know anyone who holds my values and would represent me so I can not really vote responsibly at all.

I actually plan on voting independent/third party ;) people really need to vote their consciences rather than voting for "the lesser of two evils" as so many do. Voting for the lesser of two evils is the true wasted vote in my opinion because it's not a vote for who you think is most qualified but voting so the "bad guy" doesn't win. The two party system needs to be scrapped, it's far too corrupt. From what i've researched it seems that multiple party systems are the least corrupt. I say it's time to give it a try ;)

I am seriously thinking of voting for a third party candidate, too, because neither McCain or Obama really have what I think we need in a president- godly values, and compassion for the lower class citizens of the USA>

Ralph Nader says third parties will never have a chance at anything as long as they are excluded from the debates and I think he has a major point.  The main parties control the debates and they don't want somebody getting a share of their candidtes' votes.  The U.S. Is totally dominated by the parties and the lobbyists, and it is hard to say how long it can endure.  The current finacial crisis is a good example.  The scary part is the so called experts have no idea what to do.  Its a big freight train coming down the track with no brakes, no brakeman, no engineer and certainly no conductor.

I would dearly love to vote for a third party candidate, especially now, but I think that a vote for Bob Baar would be a wasted vote, and I started wanting to vote for Fred Thompson, but he dropped out. The premise of American Politics in my opinion is that you vote for who you want to, but it is now just a popularity contest, I like what Obama has to say, but I do not think that he can do half of what he wants. Oh well Bob, I guess that my vote is for you this year.

I hate to have think like this, but voting for a third-party candidate is wasting a vote.  I have sincerely considered a write-in vote this year, but that, too, would be wasting my vote.  I have to vote for the candidate who most represents my own interests and the interests of this country.

I to do not feel that either main candidate is worthy of my vote.  I have seriously thought about voting third party.  I honestly wish there was the option to vote "do over" for this election.

Yes I would vote for a third party candidate, but that would all depend on who the candidate is. But no third party candidate is ever going to win until they are allowed to debate and stuff just like the other two.

      Yes! Absolutely!
I almost always for third party candidates.
Because - the reason for voting is to record my preference and my preference is rarely the from one of the two main parties.  Sometimes I vote for third party candidates just to make it plain that there are people here who do not endorse either of the main party's candidates.

Since I truly don't like our two candidates, i would definitely vote for a third candidate.
