Sinus infection prevails in many people living all over the world and it can be treated at home even. However people with severe sinus infections should contact their doctors when they see certain symptoms.
Whenever the patient feels pain or pressure in the upper part of the face along with difficulty in breathing and nasal blockage, he should immediately contact a doctor. Along with these factors if the body temperature becomes too hot then it is also an indication that he should immediately be treated.
Severe sinus infections can lead to chest congestions and difficulties in breathing so it should not be left untreated and undiagnosed. If a person has the above symptoms and feels the nasal area is swelling up then it is an indication of severe sinus infection.
Some patients even get an infection in the sockets of their eyes due to sinus causing the eye to swell and tired. The person has problems in moving the eye and can some times loose his sight if not cured properly.
