Do Peacocks Eat Thorns?

I read that peacock feathers are so beautiful because they eat thorns as part of their diet. it was a spiritual explanation of life's difficulties and the gifts we receive from overcoming these difficulties.

    Mostly they don't but in the time of hunger when not another food is there except the thorny bushes than they do eat thorns but the bueaty of their feathers is not related with the eating of thorns.
