What Is Power Transistor?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Power transistor is a semiconductor and widely used in electronic devices as an amplifier or a switch. There are two types of transistor that are NPN transistor and PNP transistor. If a semiconductor is doped in such a way that a P-type substance is sandwitched between two N-type substances or N-type substance is present between the two P-type substances then it is called transistor. Transistor has three parts that are emitter, collector and base. It has two junctions, base-emitter junction and base-collector junction. Base emitter junction is forward biased and base-collector junction is connected in reverse biased direction.
