    Can Anyone Tell Me If There Is A Bone In The Ear Called Rib?

    I am looking for aconnection between the following . Stirrup, anvil hammer and rib .I know the first three are bones in the ear, but not sure on rib

      I just spent 30 minutes trying to find that out. I don't believe there is. Just looking at a diagram in the dictionary and reading the description for each one, there wasn't even a nickname for any of the structures in the ear except for the tympanic membrane, and that is the ear drum.
      The other parts of the ear are this... Pinna, lobe, auditory meatus, tympanic membrane eustachian tube, auditory nerve, cochlea, semicirclular canals, stapes, incus, malleus, and bones of skull, none of which had a name like that. Hope this helps.

      No, I double checked just in case my 'anatomy' is fading,there are no bones in the ear called a rib.
