    Temperature can be too high , turn it down a couple of degrees or you have a faulty valve , get your handyman/plumber to have a look .

      Get thermostat checked immediately! Its quite urgent as faulty thermos can cause the water to heat to such a temperature that the tank can explode, showering boiling water everywhere. Other signs are hot water coming out of cold taps and steam in the loft,  or wherever your tank is.

        It may need to be replaced, or there may be piece of dirt or sediment of
        some kind stuck in valve seat.
