    Will My Dwarf Hamster Eat It's Babies?

    My hamster is pregnant and we have a male and female in the same cage.

    Your hamster could eat its babies and then again it might not. You do need to separate the male from the cage because he definitely will eat them. Make sure that you are feeding them the best food possible.

      Well, dwarf hamsters are herd animals and are used to being around over hamsters unlike other breeds. The father will actually help to raise them, BUT u must never tough the babies or else the hamsters will pick up the scent and WILL eat them. If u must pick them up use a spoon, that way u u wont leave ur scent on the baby.
