What Are Some Current Events Taking Place In Italy?

The incidents that hog limelight in Italy at present are the crime situation in Naples. President Romano Prodi had already undertaken a visit to the ravaged southern city amidst widespread demands of army being called in for mustering peace. Unabated violence in the meantime continues, with murders being reported daily.

The political scenario also witnessed former president Berlusconi standing trial in a case wherein he had distorted the path of justice. He has also been found involved in tax irregularities.
