I Always Feel A Bit Depressed After Christmas. Any Ideas For Cheering Up?

It's funny how we get that feeling, children and adults alike. Probably a main reason is the sense of nothing to look forward to, so a good idea is to give yourself a treat. Some people start planning their next holiday; a simpler way is to plan a little trip or something unusual, maybe with friends. Why not go together to see a film, or try something new: it doesn't matter whether it's evening classes, extreme sports or going to the dog-track, as long as it's something outside the usual routine.
The last couple of years, we've hit on the idea of "spreading" Christmas out a bit. This means a party on Boxing Day as well as Christmas Day; and rather than try and meet all our friends in December, we arrange a couple of "Christmas dinner" outings for January instead. This is catching on – I know a few other people who do it now.
Finally, don't forget the hearty option – you may not feel like walking, cycling or - God forbid – jogging around the 28th, but you'll surely need some exercise and you do feel smug afterwards!

The feeling alot of people have after Christmas is like this. These days the celebrations start far to early and everyone is hyped up for far too long.
We may have family and friends around for a few days and life seems busy, troubles can be pushed away for a while.
When Christmas ends all the reality of life hits again and bills keep pouring in.
This is a good time to heave a sigh of relief, spring is coming and eventually better weather.
Perhaps you can get out for some walks, this always helps lift depression. Look around at the bulbs coming up and the signs of new life in nature. Perhaps you could plan a break or to do something you really enjoy.
What about asking some people round soon for a small get together and celebrate it not being Christmas for another year. That's what I'm going to do!
