When Villeneuve tried to sneak out of the surrounded port of Cadiz, Nelson caught him. When the French ships structured in a single line, British ships attacked them from two points. The famous signal was "England expects that every man will do his duty" and after signaled that Nelson smashed the center of the French line and in the headlong battle he captured Villeneuve with 20 ships.
