Well owning a dog sounds quite simple, but taking care of it is the tough part since it requires a lot of time and dedication.
Well before getting a dog get the necessary material that you will help you manage and take care of your dog. First and foremost buy a leash along with other basic things like a dog dish, its food, etc. If you plan to keep your dog in the backyard you will require a dog house, which you can either make or buy directly from the market. Study a bit about the particular breed of dog that you want, like if you plan to get a Labrador, try finding out what type of food they prefer, what are their behaviour patterns like. Once you have the dog, remember to take it out for regular walks, make sure its enclosure is clean and he is comfortable in it, etc. Also remember to take your dog to the vet on regular basis.
