When you are on Earth, you may weigh 125 kilograms; if you were on the Moon, you would weigh less because the force of gravity on the Moon is less than that on Earth. If you were in deep space, far away from the Earth or any other planet, there would be no force of gravity acting on you at all and you would float. You would be weightless.
However, mass is different; mass is a constant that doesn't depend on the force of gravity that acts on your body. You have the same mass on Earth as you do on the Moon and as you would if you were to travel to deep space. Your weight would change, but your mass would not.
Mass is a measure of how much 'stuff' there is inside you. You would still have the same number of arms and legs in Earth or in space; you would have exactly the same number of cells; you would have exactly the same number of molecules and atoms. This 'stuff' is mass; the force of gravity determines how much it weighs.

Mass:mass of a body determines the magnitude of acceleration produced when a force acts on it.
Mass does not change
Its a scalar quantity and its unit is kilogram(kg)
weight:the force with which earth attracts a body to wards its centre is called weight.
The weight of a body can be different at different places
It is a vector quantity and its unit is newton(N)

Weight can change and mass stays the same such as:
The weight of our body can change
but the mass of a solid cup (with noting in it) can not.

Mass is equal to the quantity of matter in the object. It is the fundamental property of a body and measures the inertia of a body. The standard international unit of mass is kilograms. The mass can also be measured in grams.
Weight of an object is to the force with which earth pulls the object towards the gravity. Weight of an object is equal to the product of mass and gravity constant. The gravity constant is equal to the acceleration due to the gravity and its value is equal 9.8 meters per second square.
Weight = mass x gravitational acceleration
Weight = mass x 9.8
The unit of weight of an object is newton.
Newton= kilogram. Meter/ sec2

Mass is a measure of how much matter an object has. Weight is a measure of how strongly
gravity pulls on that matter. Thus if you were to travel to the moon your weight would
change because the pull of gravity is weaker there than on Earth but, your mass would
stay the same because you are still made up of the same amount of matter.
