Photosynthesis is really important, because without it we would have no life on earth !
Photosynthesis is where the green plants use the energy obtained from the Sun to convert carbon dioxide which is taken from the air and water from the soil into the sugars and starches which provide them with the energy to flourish.

Another vital part of photosynthesis is that it produces oxygen as a by product and so we are able to breathe air. It is Nature's way of creating balance on earth: plants take in the carbon dioxide and release oxygen. Humans and animals breathe in the oxygen and release carbon dioxide. It is truly wondrous in how it ensures that all life is sustained, so it is a really important topic to study !
