Howcan I Apply For Legal Aid For A Divorce

Answer Question

If you go to www.google.com and type in probono attorneys, your city, your state, it should pull up probono attorneys in your town. You can also go to the legal library and make copies of the forms and file it yourself. If you are on governmental ad. The government will help you, FREE. Which you will probably have to be on government assistance before you will qualify for probono anyway. So I would suggest going to the courthouse and filing it yourself. If the respondent is compliant with getting the divorce final that is the least expensive way to go. Wishing you well.

You can also look in your local phone book under Legal Aid. You can call your local state's Bar Association and ask for the number to your states legal aid. I recently and still are using for a divorce. You will still have filing fees to pay for and your appointed attorney may ask for them to be waived but you will not have to pay an hourly price for your attorney.
