Is It True That T-shirts Were Being Sold Which Made Humour Of What Happened At Auschwitz?

Yes, unfortunately a website did start selling distasteful T-shirts in reference to what happened in Auschwitz. One of the T-shirts read: "My grandparents went to Auschwitz and all I got was this lousy T-shirt". The families of the victims killed at Auschwitz and the survivors of the Holocaust were outraged and saddened that people would use such a huge tragedy as a cashing in tool. The website has now taken the T-shirts off after being told to but they have made no comment regarding the sale of the T-shirts.

Another T-shirt had the phrase that deportees were met with on the front of the German concentration camp gates. You have to wonder why these T-shirts were allowed to be sold in the first place as whilst it is important to have a right to free speech, it was fairly obvious that these T-shirts were going to offend thousands of people. It all seemed to lack common sense; though it isn't the first time issues like this have arisen.
