The publisher of the first ever newspapaer was Johann Carolus. The first ever newspaper made, was named as Relation Aller Furnemmen und gedenckwurdigen Historien which means the basic Collection of all hidden and commemorable news. This newspaper, The Relation is known by the World Association of Newspapers, including any other writers and authors declaring it as the world's first ever newspaper.

The German newspaper, The Relation was first published in Strassburg, and this city has been given the status of imperial free city in the Holy Roman Empire Of the German Nation. Evidences say that the Carlous newspaper was first printed in the beginning of 1605 and not in the year 1609, and this has been proved by World Association of  Newspapers in 2005. The birth certificate of the newspaper is said be in 1980s. Relation was actually said to be more like a news book or a proper pamphlet, and this has been more emphasized by an English historian of printing Stanley Morison.

The newspaper was printed it the size of quarto, it has a special and separate title page and the text in single broad columns. And by the definition it wont be wrong to say that the world's first newspaper is the Dutch Courante uyt Italien, Duytslandt, &c.which was published in the year 1618.
