If A Buck Rabbit Is Newted, Is There Any Chance That It Could Not Work?

We have a buck and a doe, we had him newted in January, but he is still sometimes interested in her. I know it can take a while. She has started acting very strange, trying to burrow, pulling out her fur (which she has done before), and making a nest. They are kept together in the same cage at night and have the run of the garden during the day. Thanks for you help. Lisa
