The capital of Washington offers a relaxing and historic journey to its visitors. Various structures that are important to country’s history are found here and shouldn’t be missed. The dedication to arts is also visible in this city with an orchestra and theaters run by dedicated people. Here are the top 5 activities and places that you shouldn’t miss when you are in Olympia:
1. Visit the Washington State Capitol
As the capital of Washington, the State Capitol covers at least 30 hectares of land. You’ll find various buildings that were constructed as early as 1892.
2. Shop at the Farmers Market
Health buffs would love to go to this place at anytime. Almost everything found in this market are locally produced. Fruits and vegetables is not just a fad here, it’s a way of living.
3. Dinner at Olive Garden
Come to this place where everything is Italian. The ambiance and the food are great and you’ll never miss anything special as you’ll be waited on by a knowledgeable attendant.
4. Watch Olympia Symphony Orchestra
Get your classical kicks with one of the best orchestras in the state. Regular concerts are held every season and if you’re there during summer, the Orchestra performs one concert for free.
5. Play in Delphi Golf Club
A 9-hole golf club, the Delphi golf club is perfect for a quick round of golf in any season. The price really drops during winter and the club personnel are great and the people you are playing with are even better.
Hello, My name is Aaron Inglin and I am the recently appointed concertmaster of the Olympia Symphony Orchestra.
I just decided to 'google' "Olympia Symphony" to see what would come up and ran across this posting. I would like to thank you for posting about our summer concert (it was a great success) and I would like to tell you about our future concerts as well.
I can tell you also that I find 'the arts' in Olympia to be subtle yet steadily developing and no-one is more committed to culturing the community in Olympia then our Music director and Conductor, Huw Edwards(a native of Wales). I encourage you to come to one of our two concerts that are soon (a pops holiday and then a great program featuring the Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto) and introduce yourself. I try to make my way to the Washington Center Lobby as soon as I can to thank the audience for coming and I would love to meet you all.
thanks again and see you at the symphony!
