If An Employee Quits And Gives A 2 Weeks Notice, Do They Get Their Vacation That Is Owed To Them?

If an employee gives a 2 week notice and leaves are they entiled to their vacation they have built up?

    I would think so, but it also depends on the labor laws in your area. You can contact the labor board and see what they tell you. You should be able to find them in the book under "county", "municipality", or "state", something like that, and the heading, Department of Labor. Hope this helps.

    In Massachusetts, vacation pay is considered wages. Failure to pay vacation pay earned could result in have to pay 2 or 3 times what was originally due.

      Yes,  an employee is due any vacation and sick time they have built up.
