Electric Hot Water Heater No Longer Has Hot Water, Why?

I have been reseting my hot water heater for the last two weeks about daily. Today when I noticed I didn't have hot water again I went to reset it again but now I can no longer reset it. The button doesn't "click".

Not an expert, but have had similar troubles. If it is an electric hot water heater, it will have heating elements in it, (which obviously is what heats the water) When those become old, or simply malfunction, they need to be replaced. Not too expensive for the elements, Roughly 30-50 dollars, and then whatever your local handyman charges to replace it. When the circuit breakers wont reset, this is what I would check first.
