    The effect of the World War II bombings was massive which led to the horrible development of architecture. Greatest Victorian buildings were destroyed during the Blitz of the World War. The Blitz was the unrelenting bombing of the United Kingdom by the Nazi Germany. The bombing was carried out from September 7, 1940 till May 16, 1941, the main attack being London.

    The Glass roofed New Street Station, the Central Library were all destroyed in the 50's. After the destruction, new buildings were planned which had an enormous effect .These planning's had a profound effect on the structure of the buildings which were cubical or a mix of concrete ring roads. They were referred to as concrete jungle. The largest high rise was constructed at Castle Vale with over 30 huge towers.
