The Johari Window model is a easy and effective tool for understanding and improving the self-awareness and mutual understanding between the individual members of a group, and improving the interpersonal relationships between individuals in a group and with members of other groups. It is a study of group dynamics. It aims to study with the help of four regions what the person knows about himself or herself which is known to others (open area, open self, free area, free self or the arena), what the person does not know about himself or herself or herself which is known to others (blind area, blind self or blind spot), what the person knows about himself or herself which is not known to others (hidden area, hidden self, avoided area, avoided self or facade) and what the person does not know about himself or herself which is also not known to others (unknown area or unknown self).
