Can I Give My Dog, Beagle, Aloe Vera Juice?
My dog has neoplasia and I read aloe is good for them
Answers
No! Aloe is poisonous to dogs and actually people as well.

I don't know where you got this idea and I can't imagine giving a dog anything I wouldn't be willing to ingest. The advice above is sound. Invest a good home veterinary reference book and consult it before even thinking about any home remedy. Most include information about what over-the-counter people remedies can be used for dogs.

I don't think it's poisonous ... there are many canine products available with aloe vera as their active ingredient. I would ask your vet if it's ok to feed pure aloe vera juice to your dog. But I use high-quality aloe vera gel topically on my dog to help with a skin/coat condition because I was told that it was safe if he licked it.

If it's SO poisonous, then why is it available in health food stores to ingest AND in many products for our domesticated pets? Also, I spoke with my doctor about Aloe Vera Juice and was informed that it did have a great many natural medicinal qualities. We want to turn our noses up at natural things that grow here on earth for our benefit, yet there are dozens and dozens of commercials telling us of lawsuits brought on by pharmaceuticals that are "manmade" and not fully tested that are crippling, debilitating and killing. No let's give our pets steriods (prednisone) which slowly kills them and forget about natural remedies. Oh I KNOW dogs can't always ingest the same things as people...but don't tell me that aloe is poisonous when I know great grand mothers and ggfathers who have ingested it along with many other "natural" things and living well.
