Does Anyone Know How Long It Take The Caulking Around New Windows To Cure So That It's No Longer Emitting Toxic Fumes?

A friend, who just had her windows replaced last week, has a serious health condition that makes it very dangerous for her to be exposed to toxic fumes of any kind. She's been staying with friends, but doesn't know when it will be safe for her to return home. She can't check herself because she can't afford to be exposed to any toxic fumes that may be lingering.

Your friend needs to check with the people who did replace the windows they will have the most knowledge since there are several different types and brands that contactors use, if they did it themselves there should be a web site or phone number she can call.. I would in the mean time leave several windows in the house cracked to get the smell out of the home.
