    We Have A 50 Year Old Box Turtle. He Has Been In A Box And We Want To Put Him In An Enclosed Garden Area That Has A Pond Plants And Rocks. Will He Survive Okay?

    I am new and thought this would be the place to find out if a turtle that was given to us will survive in an enclosed garden area with a pond and plants. I guess since I have more words I would also ask if we need to build him a shelter of some kind. He is 50 years old and is a box turtle and has basically lived in an enclosed aquairium most of his days

    It depends on the turtle. For the longest time my turtles were in boxes as well. They need the sun for nutrients so it would be better to have them outside.
