What Is A Rational Of Tows Analysis?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

TOWS analysis is an assessment of threats, opportunities, weaknesses and strengths. Previously it was called the SWOT analysis but the sequence was changes later on. This was done keeping in mind that the threats and opportunities have to be taken care of before the weaknesses and strengths. This analysis is generally performed for organizations. The first thing to be done is to analyze the threats that exist in the environment because the basic instinct is to survive. The organization can only survive when it understands and deals with the threats otherwise it would fail. Once the threats have been dealt with, the organization can take advantage of the opportunities and grow and an analysis of the opportunities is necessary. Weaknesses need to be analyzed as well because these should be overcome as soon as possible otherwise the organization will become vulnerable. The last thing to be assessed is the strength of the organization so that these competencies can be strengthened.
