          Oedipus complex is that feeling of attraction a son has towards his mother.  This usually takes place between the ages of four to seven.  And then slowly begins to fade away once they reach the age of nine.

          Some lads, at this age also suffer from the fear where they feel that when their father will find out about their attraction for their mothers, they will be severely punished.
