What Is Subsistence Agriculture?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Subsistence Agriculture is defined as a self sufficient farming where farmers grow just enough food to feed their families and to pay federal taxes.

A subsistence farm has a range of crops and animals that are needed by the family to eat during one year. In short, subsistence farmers are those people who grow what they eat, build their own houses and live without making purchases from the marketplace.
