In the same arrangement with Genealogy Supplies Limited to scan birth, marriage and death records, including certificates, from various of its non parish records, the National Archives at Kew in London has also agreed to release some of the birth, marriage and death certificates for people whose events took place abroad to be scanned. These records include those kept in RG 32 (General Register Office: Miscellaneous Foreign Returns), those kept in RG 33 (General Register Office: Foreign Registers and Returns), those kept in RG 34 (General Register Office: Miscellaneous Foreign Marriage Returns). They also include those kept in RG 35 (General Register Office: Miscellaneous Foreign Death Returns) and those from RG 36 (General Register Office: Registers and Returns of Births, Marriages and Deaths in the Protectorates etc of Africa and Asia).
Previously, these have only been available by visiting Kew but the records will be digitized and fully indexed and placed on line. Free access will be available at Kew itself, but internet access will involve a small download fee.
