Do you like camping or backpacking? If you already have the equipment, that's a great way to spend a vacation, especially with a family. There are many, many areas you could go to. Check with AAA, or the forest service, or check online. I myself live in the Sierra Nevada, but it started by camping and climbing there many years ago.

Atlantis in the bahamas is nice and affordable. Will only cost you a couple grand a night to stay there and thats chump change now a day. I recommend it.
