I have an upstairs neighbor that recently moved in, and is excessively noisy. I have kindly asked them to be more considerate in this matter, but they just sluffed it off as if it was not important to them. I talked to the apartment manager, and she was no help. How can I legally MAKE them be more considerate with thier noise level?

Call your landlord if your renting or call the cops, there legally not allowed to give up your name to the person your complaining about.

Bang on the ceiling or blast the music during hours they'd be sleeping. if there making noise you make louder noise. i have neighbours that live below us and i did that for awhile i think they got the hint because there not loud anymore :) have fun.

Actually i live in nj and here it is illegal for cops to tell the person who is complaining. if you r that unhappy move.

No I'm not spoiled. Moving was the last option that's all i was just trying to help. I didn't realize this website had such rude people.
Deal with the noise stop being a baby! If you don't like what people are going to tell u then don't post stupid questions like u do. To be honest with your attitude now wonder your neighbour's don't care if they bother u I'd do the same thing they are.

The problem is that I'm just overly-sensitive to YOUR stupid comments! Some people that come to this site are actually intellectuals, unlike yourself (apparently), and common-sense answers like the one you gave me are only time-consuming presumptions that are fit for a child's Q&A site.

Maybe it's what state or country you are in, but in my state the cops can tell the person you are complaining about who you are any time they want. In my experience, cops have been completely useless in these matters.
