Who Made The Eiffel Tower?

               The Eiffel Tower is one of the major tourist attractions of Paris, France. One cannot leave Paris without making a trip to the Eiffel tower. However, this tower is not very old. It was constructed in the late 19th century by Alexandre Gustave Eiffel.

                It took a little more than 2 years for completing the construction (1887 to 1889). The tower was finally completed on March 28th 1889. The main reason behind creating the Eiffel Tower is to celebrate the anniversary of the French Revolution. A team of 50 engineers had worked on the blueprints of the tower.

               It has a height of 984 ft and has a steel structure comprising of over eighteen thousand different pieces. It used about 9441 tons of steel to make the tower which was supplied from different factories owned by industrialists by the name of Mr. Dupont and Mr. Folud. The tower has 4 legs at the base which are separated from each other by 80 meters. It was also used as a radio transmitter. It has elevators to go from the ground to the topmost levels.
