Doctors should always wear gloves when touching a patient. Yes it can cause MRSA, the way most people get it is from being touched with "dirty" hands. Even though the hand may look clean, there can still be microbes under the fingernails and in the groves of the fingers. Next time you bring your child to see a doctor, it is OK to ask that they only touch the child with gloves on. It is OK to express your concerns to doctors and they don't have to like it. You being the parent have the right to protect your child.
