Yes, as i presume you have a lease, therefore you r contractually obligated to perform as stated in said lease.♥

Legally...I wouldn't know the answer for I am going through the same thing. I however confronted my landlord and gave him a 30 day notice, telling him I would not be paying rent for I will need to use the money for moving expenses or deposit else where. Did you find out the property was under foreclosure from him...
