Alcohol passes through the system very quickly and if you drink right before will most likely be detected.

Depends on the test. I took a ua test kit from where i have to ua. Got very very drunk, woke up next morning, tested my urine and it showed NEGATIVE across all 6 panels. I should add though the test kit only tested for AMP/COC/BENZ/THC/OXY/OP. If you're being tested it's usually only for drugs. They have to send in urine to have it more thoroughly checked for alcohol (costs them more time and money) and also sometimes you are given a breathalizer at the same time of ua.
