Ringworm is a fungal disease like Matif said. I had ringworm as a kid from playing with stray cats. My grandmother took me to the doctor and he prescribed an anti-fungal cream. Do be sure to wash all linens and wash rags and towels. Keep doing the treatment until they are all gone. Peace

I had the 2nd worse case of ringworm my doc had ever seen....my sister had the worst! lol. Got it from a stray cat we rescued. Doctor suggested Blue Star Ointment to get rid of it and it worked like a charm. We smelled pretty bad for about 10 days and we also had to wash everything in the house in hot water and change the bed linens every day but it worked. Good luck!

Ringworm is a fungal infection and not actually a worm. The only way you will get rid of it is with an anti-fungal cream. Go to the pharmacy and ask them what is the best one without a prescription. It usually takes a couple weeks for it to go away, but be persistent with the medication. If after a couple weeks it doesn't get any better then you will need something stronger from your doctor.
