Yes we can. With the new Windows Vista operating system, the computers are much safer. I have installed Vista onto both my laptop and desktop (Home Premium for laptop, and Ultimate for desktop). I have noticed that Microsoft asks you a lot more often if a program is trying to run on your system without asking. Also, when I scan for spyware, there are a lot less hits (61 before-14 after). So yes, I can safely say that we can expect safer laptops.
