The amount of money you will need will depend entirely upon how much the deposit and bonds are in your new apartment. Do you have to pay a months rent in advance? Do you have to pay any estate agent fees? Usually people are expected to pay at least one months rent as well as the same amount in bonds. You get this back at the end of the tenancy but it can often be hard finding that amount of cash in the first place!
As well as the initial costs of moving into a new apartment, you need to think of removal costs, and also cleaning costs. Now you would assume that the new apartment would be spotless, but often that is sadly not the case! This means that you will need to clean the apartment yourself to your standards and that could take a lot of cleaning products! As well as cleaning and removal costs, you also need to think about your living costs. Are you moving away from the area and into a different part of the country? If so do you have a job? If you don't it would be a good idea to save some money to tide you over for a few months. Overall it completely depends upon your personal circumstances as to how much money you will actually need.
