    My Automatic Transmission Will Not Go Into 4th Gear And The Rpm Gets Goes High,waht's The Problem?

    When i get on the freeway the rpm goes high because the automatic transmission will not shift to 4th gear, do I need a new transmission?

    Take it to a mechanic to check your transmission and your fluid.

    jaunco I have the same problem with 03 Dodge when the check eng light is on narrow it down to computer or sensor problem now I need help to repair

      1967 ford F-100 P/U,460 engine. The auto transmission will not go into reverse. Even when I giggle the gear shift. Shifts fine in all other gears. Fluid level is clean and fine.
