I'm not an expert, but as far as I know,it's a genetic defect and usually they're deaf.

As far as I know only ALL WHITE dogs and cats with blue eyes run a higher risk of being deaf, not blind. I've had several all white cats with blue eyes that were not deaf but was told by the vet to test then because it is a risk and my sister had an all white cat with blue eyes that was deaf. But just having blue eyes alone makes them no more likely to be deaf than a person with blue eyes. So, I hope your boxer isn't all white (it shouldn't be), and in that case you should be fine.

Boxer puppies aren't death with blue eyes it's a white cat with blue eyes so you have nothing to worry about there i think it's just something that was passed down the line on dogs and just decided to land on your dogs
